Prenatal Yoga + Recharging + Childbirth

Prenatal Yoga

We all know when pregnant that it's almost ALWAYS highly recommended by SOMEONE during pregnancy.

But, did you know that doing prenatal yoga during pregnancy prepares the body for a baby movement in to the pelvis, as well as helping with movements that allow for relief of stiffness, pain and low back/pelvic discomforts.

Over the next few weeks we'll take a day to go over a prenatal yoga pose/posturing and why I love it so for pregnant bodies and babies.

✨

First up is one of my favorite poses and postures from prenatal yoga - is cat/cow !

@asyourbabygrows always tells her class to do cat/cow everyday to help make sure that the baby and the pelvis are used to movement for getting ready for birth.

This pose is great for helping to relieve low back pain, move the pelvis AND allow for release and relax through the pelvic floor.

✨

When doing cat/cow try to focus on the pelvic floor, the pelvis, and releasing through the tailbone.

Releasing and relaxing is the name of the game when it comes to pregnancy and birth (as well as pelvic pain!)

I'm opening registration for my SECOND prenatal series in the office: Sundays for 6 weeks from 11/14 - 12/19!

Recharging - As important and resetting, relaxing and refocusing.

Pelvic floor work focuses on relaxing the pelvic floor first, getting full mobility of the muscles: through fascial work, restorative therapies and yoga based techniques AND THEN we strengthen in a proper range getting all of the movements of the pelvic floor and getting the full range during the process.

✨

Recharging through active movement and strengthening is an important factor when it comes to pelvic floor strength, stability and consistency.

But, when it comes to the energy of the pelvic bowl - we want to make sure that there are ways to ground down and restore the creative energies and grounding aspects of the pelvic floor (and more!)

✨

Is there a way that you restore and recharge you sacral energy as well as your grounding forces?

Comment below and let's share what we do to best recharge this creative center.
